Whenever we celebrate a Marian Feast Day and sing Hail Holy Queen I am reminded of the movie Sister Act and their rendition of Hail Holy Queen. On this feast of the Assumption I am reminded of Mary's place in redemption history. I was thinking about the fact that we talk about Mary's assumption into heaven for it is through her son that she is accepted body and soul into heaven. Mary is our foremost model in that she was the perfect vessel for God's grace. It is not through her own power that her life was without sin but by the grace of God as we recount in the Hail Mary.
